New peak quarantine moment is Amelia about to title this post "fiftyten sea creatures."
This little starfish friend is living the life I'd like to lead. Just tanning in the sun and listening to the waves crashing on the rocks, completely unaware of Covid-19.
Just hanging out amongst all its sea creature friends.
Cute little droopy sea palms.
Cute little ghosty sea slug.
Cute little herd of sea urchins.
Cute little bed of mussels.
Cute little neon sea anemone.
Cute little active hermit crabs.
And an empty crab shell.
Tidepool lunch of fried shrimp, chicken, pork, and dumplings over rice courtesy of David and his ability to somehow wake up at 430a and actually do things.
I had the make the bridge toll worth it, so I made a trip to the city to ...nap under a tree in Bernal Heights Park until I was woken up by a bug crawling on the side of my face.
And then I went to pick up chirashi bowls in Japantown from Chef Kevin Lo for a quick and dirty picnic. Partially in observance of our cancelled trip to Japan.
pc: Joyce
I still can't identify all the sushi fish, so it's a good thing I'll eat anything. Raw fish, how I've missed you.
We agree that the seasoned rice is way above average. And that the toasted bit of cream on the scallops was a nice touch. And that ikura is the best kind of popping boba.
We'll disagree that tamago is an important part of chirashi bowls. I'm just not the biggest fan of sweet and squishy egg.
Finished the day with another cake decorated. And no fridge space to store the fried leftovers, so had to store them in my tummy.
