Madison Craft Beer Week has just concluded over here.

So I'm a little late getting around to making this, featuring Trader Joe's Stockyard Oatmeal Stout.
But it worked out nicely because it almost looks like a bouquet of roses.  Right, right?
Happy Mother's Day.

 I'm not really sure how to refer to cinnamon rolls when they look like cinnamon rolls, made like cinnamon rolls, but have no cinnamon in them... just "rolls" doesn't quite roll off the tongue.  Actually it sounds pretty gross.  R-o-o-o-o-l-l-l-l-l-l-sssssss.  Nope.

 We'll just call them Blackberry Ginger Coffee Stout Rolls (filling adapted from here with 1 t freshly grated ginger, lime instead of lemon, and no mascarpone).

And just to keep the tastebuds on their toes without overwhelming, I ate my rolls (yup, still sounds gross) smothered with thick but light almond curd.
