Yesterday, I slowly descended into turmoil. Today, I stared into a mental abyss while wondering what I'm even ... doing. Two overwhelming brain worm themes are trust and shame. But I can stay distracted with moving goals in the mean time.
Two skinny slices of kimchi sourdough with tomato jam from the freezer reserves and cheddar.
Meanwhile Nastassia gave me the idea to prep two tubs of unopened but barely expired yogurts to churn froyo tomorrow. Plain for the plains and blueberry corn aka my favorite summer dessert combo of all time forever and always.
Dinner was a quick batch of peanut noodles, round 2. This time with the garlic and onion Pindakaswinkel (+more garlic, molasses ACV, soy sauce, sesame oil, FlybyJing, scallions, sesame seeds).
I sat down and took a couple bites before getting back up to put together a quick slaw featuring the ground Thai chilies from Trang that almost burned my tonguebuds off.
purple cabbage, carrots, onion, scallions
equal parts fish sauce to lime juice to brown sugar
preserved limes, garlic, a spoonful too much Thai chilies
Even the spiced craft cola beverage didn't alleviate the pain. I had like five bites and then desperately finished all my noodles.
emptied items:
udon noodles
