Classes already have me worried. I was prepared to sell my soul to the lab... but not to thermodynamics and calculus. Ignore the lowly bio major who never had a handle of physics. By ignore, I mean help. I give myself many well deserved study breaks after staring down two sample problems at a time. My problem is I dwell, half convinced if I mull over it long enough, it'll suddenly come to me. Not very efficient or confidence-boosting.
Cravings have been out of control. There are too many things I want to eat, but I can at least check soft pretzel off the list. Is it time to go home yet? I want water spinach and pork belly and eggplant and steamed whole fish. And dumplings.
I want to go back to living at home where food is plentiful, and I didn't know my credit report had issues and rent for my car is not due every month. The real world is awesome.
But actually, I'll get over it once this awful biophyschem class is over. It's tiring just to say the whole name when people ask me what I'm taking.

So speaking of home as being a place where food is plentiful... I miss having more than two fruits to choose from when I want a snack. Especially cherries. Who doesn't love cherries? Of all the things I forgot to pack with me, I still didn't forget my cherry pitter. The most useful useless one-task kitchen tool I own. It's not so much that I use it a lot... it's that when I do use it, it saves me so much time and effort (and money, when purchased with an A.C. Moore coupon). Maybe I haven't tried finding this out, but what other way are you supposed to pit cherries anyways?
This is a cherry coffee cake with cinnamon streusel topping.
Which reminds me, it's time to replenish the 'baked good board' in my new apartment kitchen.
