back track a bit

In between sleeping and playing with Kevin...
(look at him eat a giant peach in a Minion shirt... oh so cute)
... I decided to play with sprinkles.  Lyd's Asheville roommate (shoot, I'm really late talking about Asheville) introduced us to Sally's chocolate chunk cookies, so naturally I had to go and make her cake batter chocolate chips.  Seriously, look at how pretty the dough is, sigh.
I was working with my uncle's toaster oven, which required much dough for much trial and error batches.  The first mini dozen were slightly burnt, which was entirely my fault because I rolled mini balls and baked them for a full 10 minutes... which also turned out okay because apparently Kevin likes crispy things, so as long as he hasn't developed a taste acumen for cookies.
I tried Sally's stacking technique with the next three, and what you're seeing are basically melting snowmen.  Are you upset?  Because I sure was.
Still overdone, still crispy, still for Kevin.
The next three succeeded because I used some logic (reduced baking time) and a bit of engineering (building better snowmen).  Softer and slightly underdone, I gave these to my grandma.
Then I tried to duplicate those with the remainder of the dough to fill a freezer baggie for Bernard's 22nd.  The sweet, sticky smell of cookies permeated my gym bag (and car) in a good way as I drove to Pitt.  So many hills and random stoplights... Sunny's engine was not amused.
Lakeside chilling on the Terrace, watching the sail boats and paddle boarders and tanning lifeguards and hoards of peeps enjoying the perfect weather.  I've never been so excited to start the actual school part of school (don't be confused, I still hate school).
New student ID obtained.  Day three errands complete.
