is too hard... and I haven't even started yet.
Going back to school is not what I want to do.
*Seven days later because computer savvy Amelia couldn't figure out how to upload pictures. She thinks she fucked up Firefox watching TV shows online. She will never learn.*
Back at school and feeling restless and bored as fuck. Where is the city that used to be right at my doorstep?!?!?! And where are all the people?
So... food?
Winter break food.
Sauteed leftover goose with leftover mushrooms (from hot pot, how I've missed hot pot) with some of the many chiles we always happen to have in the fridge with about-to-rot cilantro with lots of Asian spices and sauces (how I've missed those too). Thick, heavy, spicy ... ness hung in the air for the night.
Lemon basil cake with candied lemon peel, soaked in lemon syrup because I had to use up four lemons before they molded over.
Sweet potato pancakes with apple sauce because Dad bought sweet potatoes from both Li Ming's and Costco...in the same day. Grating and ringing out the sweet potatoes was a big, fat bitch.
Breakfast quiche with Mary. She handled the pastry and I loaded it with spinach, mushroom, and onions.
Back to work I guess.
Reading terrifies me now.
By the way, I love being carded.
21st year of my awkward stage, bring it on.
