First order of the day was to make a pan of brownies because Emily and Joyce bullied me into it with nonstop pictures of brownies convinced me to pursue my cravings.
I finally made Mandy's mochi brownies after opening and closing the recipe over and over again like an ex's Instagram page.
Except I didn't have brown sugar so had to make do with 1c white sugar + 1T molasses.
Added a couple found things into the batter for funsies.
Calafate berry liquor from Argentina into the brownie batter and honey liqueur into the mochi.
The tragedy is that I overbaked it ...so now we know what I'm doing first thing tomorrow morning.
Lunch was a totally healthy hearty dumpling salad. Which is actually a thing with Google-able results. This one is mixed with stir-fried cabbage because it's the only vegetable I have left in the fridge. But all the lush greens in the background kinda give it an air of freshness right?
Dressed in spicy pork marinade + black vinegar + sesame oil and garnished with scallion scapes.
Eaten while revisiting Nashville for no real reason.
Dinner was a pile of noods from days ago dressed in fragrant butter and tomato paste. Tossed with cilantro flowers and topped with seared cured oyster mushrooms, scallion scapes, and soy cured yolk.
Eaten while watching more Nashville with no sense of what hour it is.
