I am an expert at belated birthdays. I am fantastically good at forgotten moments. I am superior to most at procrastinating.
And my life is disorderly and random in the same way the following photos are.
best chicken pate I've had thus far... in part the size. in part the amount of garnishes. in part all the textures. all the wonderful flavors. mostly because all my tastebuds were at work with this one. playing with food at its best = trying all the different combinations. highly recommended for "adventurous eaters" and not-adventurous eaters alike. seriously. go order. go now.
risotto with wonderfully large, tender pieces of veal and scallops (I got more than Amy, ha haa). appetizer, but so filling, so hearty. my sides hurt the next morning. I don't know why, but I blame the risotto.
Oh right, it was at Nana's.
Okay... go now.
I see they now have duck sausage and duck prosciutto for July. maybe I need to go now.
waitress: you didn't think we'd let you leave without something for your birthday? (or something to that effect).
that bright spot you see? yes, it's the candle. yes, it's stuck in a raspberry.
Tyler: what is that? a dessert for ants?!
chocolate cake with spiked hazelnut mousse "frosting" and cute pink candy pearls I bought on a whim at A.C.Moore with 20 gingerbread cake pop candles (with almond glaze), one of which Amy is munching on below.
Exactly a month late.
