This jar of barley has been staring at me. I think I originally got it for dessert creations but have only used it once or twice for 8 treasure soup. So tonight, as inspired by a corn risotto from this past weekend, I'm going with a barley risotto. With those dried lobster mushrooms that I bought on a whim.
Side note, did you know that sometimes dried mushrooms can harbor moth eggs and when the conditions are right, they will hatch and unleash a fucking plague of moths onto your apartment as they continue to feed and grow on your dried mushrooms? Guess how I learned about this fun fact..
