As per usual, my ambitions got the better of me because the vast majority of things I needed to move after kitchen equipment... was still pantry items. But we cleared out a meager collection of things - enough to fit all my freezer items into one yeti cooler bag at least.
plum tart - Anthony brought in boxes and boxes of super sweet plums that I claimed a bunch of to make this tart with extra shortbread crust dough. Topped with ginger sugar.
kimchi stew - not pictured, giant pot of stew with seaweed wheels and misc leftover veggies that I hauled over with Trang and Dennis's so we could eat and then.. not play trivia. Us + Alamanac trivia are just not meant to be.
shio koji potatoes - srsly the best potatoes I've ever eaten because they were so so savory and crisped up so so well. I marinated these little fingerlings in shio koji for two days and then fried them up with some ground pork.
pate - also in the freezer reserves were a collection of giblets. I also found some forgotten dried pears and with the rest of my biscuit-y peppercorn goldfish and a chamomile beer, we have ~girl dinner~
emptied items:
freezer shortbread crust
dried mushrooms
dried tofu knots
giblets
adobo
ginger knob
First meals in my new place as I get all set up by ordering $$$ worth of stuff on Amazon.
doctored up ramen with peas and greens
a lot of iterations of tuna salad with all the canned tunas I unearthed
pesto pasta bake with parmesanless pesto ground up with my mortar and pestle and then broiled to golden brown perfection with a couple slices of provolone on top
chunks of cabbage and eggs with ssamjang
