I've been starting my morning with several scoops of grass jelly and several scoops of aiyu jelly, a haphazard pour of orange cheong, and green tea.
Wednesdays are for therapy and crying for an hour at 10a and then dragging myself through the rest of the day. Nothing was working on the bench today, but my boss brought smoked chicken so my lunch plans pivoted last minute to a couple smoked chicken sliders with buns and pickles and salsa samples found in the work fridge.
Dinner was only slightly more involved so I could treat myself to the newest episode of Ted Lasso.
I had a frozen kavring round from last year. Which got toasted in some garlic confit oil that I made (and burned) two days ago. Then topped with a thin layer of cream cheese from the work fridge. Some broken up pieces of red wine and maple smoked salmon that's been patiently waiting to be eaten for almost six months (oops). Topped with soy cured yolks (made this past weekend), the last of really really old pickled onions, a few sprigs of my dill plant that's hanging in there and the last twigs of my propagated scallions. With a side of a pear (from the work fridge). And boxed red wine with lychee fruit and a syrupy orange slice (so that makes it sangria right?)
Six more meals to go.
