it's that time again - fridge clean out before travels and today marks the last day I will have gotten groceries in preparation of two dumpling sessions for this weekend.
first up, a comforting winter time soup that lasted me a couple meals:
-leftover hominy from Eric's pozole dumplings [post to come] that still needed some time
-napa cabbage, leftover from tofiery [cabbage lasts for.ev.er]
-garlic (always on hand)
-soy dashi broth (acquired from Jennie via her friends' move out)
-seaweed from the pantry stash (the kind that's for wonton soup)
-last of the propagating scallions
braised short ribs with thicc noodles
-short rib courtesy of work on-site leftovers (one didn't get consumed in the tasting, and one I may or may not have dropped in the sink, deemed unacceptable for work, and then rinsed off to take home because waste not want not)
-garlic, onion from pantry
-single green bell pepper leftover from work tasting event
-last bit of dried up doenjang in the fridge
-thai basil leftover from bday trio brunch [post to come]
-leftover dumpling dough stretched and ripped up into noodle-y pieces
