Got to spend two of my Oakland community bebes' bday times in Boston (the third one is conveniently going only after I've stopped going).
If I was going to have any go-to place it would be Krasi for the wine alone.
Here is where I was introduced to resinated wines. X-mas-y pine-y evergreen wines. I wish I had any sophisticated wine terminology in my vocabulary besides uhrrr-thy, but all I can say is that I loved the... green ness...?
Anyways, Em and I got the xtapodi (octopus) over potatoes (?) with pearl onions. And the chicken skin app with a cold creamy dip, but my favorite dish by far was the cozy, far less "pretty" braised beef cheek pasta dish.
I wanted to go back with Joyce a couple months later to order all the shellfish and roe items I didn't get with Em hehe (and also the beef cheek pasta again).
White tarama dip with trout roe, lobster, and carob bread.
Fluffy tiropita rolls with halloumi, graviera, and olives.
Cured xtenia (scallops) with a bunch of interesting crunchy and tangy accompaniments that I can't remember.
The greenest garden of no less than four types of legumes on top of more cheesey spread.
I loved all the light cheese-y dippy spready things with names I don't recognize or remember. Would you imagine that cheese could be light?
Currently craving it all and that carob bread.
